Dear MSAP Parents/Guardians:

We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU again for a successful school opening! The vast majority of students are in the approved uniforms (white polo shirt, navy blue bottom and solid blue or white sweater). Of the few who are not, most are students brand new to the neighborhood.

Students are responding well to our PBIS behavioral matrix which clearly articulates expectations for their behavior which we expect to be REGAL (Respect for all, Excellence driven, Goal oriented, Accountable for my actions and Life-long learner). Each of these are attributes we value in our students.

We have been able to roll out much of these initiatives thanks to your support. Many of you attended our Back to School Nights and heard about last year’s successes and plans for this school year. It helped your children understand that school is important to you and therefore, must be important for them.

Please keep in mind the following:

  • There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday and Tuesday September 17th and 18th as well as Wednesday, September 26th
  • You will be notified when we intend on having our first dress down day for uniform compliance. Because it has been so good, we may have a second shortly afterwards that we can tie in with a community service project.
  • Please return your lunch forms and other documentation ASAP. They are necessary for school funding.
  • Our PTA election meeting will be Thursday, September 27th at 6:30 pm.
  • Sports and Arts Orientation for accepted students will be next week. Other after school programs will start in October.

If you have other questions or concerns, please check the school’s website: and if you cannot find the answer you are looking for, please feel free to call us.

We look forward to your continued support.

Mr. McNeill
