October Dates and NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 13th

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:

 This is a reminder that school will be closed on Monday, October 13th in observance of Columbus Day.

 We’d like to remind you of a number of other important dates:

 Week of October 14th:                         Progress Reports will be given to students to bring home.

Wednesday, October 15th:                   Annual Title I Parent’s Meeting

Saturday, October 18th:                       NY Cares Day

                                                                 PTA Vendor Fair (please see below for a letter from our PTA President, Ms. Barry)

Tuesday, October 21st:                         8th Grade Picture Day (students will be in caps and gowns)

 Thursday, October 30th:                     6th and 7th Grade Picture Day (ONLY students taking

                                                                 pictures may dress down)

 Friday, October 31st:                           Dress down/up day for all students for Halloween. 

     Costumes are permitted.  Another memo will be coming to address the rules for the day.

 

Please be sure to check the school’s website (www.ms-ap.org) for updates.  Remember, you can contact teachers through their ms-ap email addresses and set up appointments to meet with them on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30 to 3:05 pm.

Letter from PTA President Ms. Barry

Greetings MSAP parents and teachers,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you back to the 2014-2015 school year. With hopes of bridging the gap between the parents, students and faculty, the MSAP PTA would like to invite you to our 1st annual Sip & Shop event. We will have vendors from various companies such as Mary Kay, Tracey Lynn, Isis Reigns, Inc. and many more available to you for your shopping pleasure.

If you or someone you know owns a business or works from home and would like to become a vendor, please feel free to reach out to the PTA via email at pta@ms-ap.org. We truly appreciate your support. Tell your neighbors and friends about this event so that it can and will be a success.

Please keep in mind that this is also New York Cares Volunteer Day, so you will see many people moving around our building and doing work to help support our school. 

Event date: October 18th, 2014

Event time: 10am to 3pm

Admission: Free to everyone unless you are a vendor. Vendor fee is $25 per table.

We will be having a raffle and when you purchase from one of our vendors you will receive a raffle ticket. You could win a prize while supporting your school and child/ren.
