Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:

We would like to thank you for your cooperation during the opening of school this year.  Despite a few snags that were beyond our control, the opening was very smooth.

Please join us for our first Parent-Teacher Family Night/Orientation on Thursday, September 18th.  The session will run from 5 to 8pm.

We will share with you a brief introduction and overview of the positive growth of our school over the past three years.  You will have an opportunity to hear from our partners, Interborough Mobile Response Team.  When that is complete, you will be able to visit your child’s teachers for about 10 to 15 minutes per class.  We do not anticipate the evening running much later than 7pm.  Your presence at this meeting is required for a positive and smooth start to the school year.

Lastly, our first PTA meeting will be the following Monday, September 22nd  at 6pm.  Notices went home earlier this week.  At that time, the PTA will conduct elections for the 2014-2015 school year.  This meeting is also extremely important – we desperately need to grow and develop our PTA into a positive and active voice for our school.  All parents must and should play a part in our PTA.  Please come out and support your child’s school.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 18th at 5pm and Monday, September 22nd at 6.

Thank you again for a smooth start to what we anticipate will be another successful year here at MSAP.

Mr. McNeill and the MSAP Faculty and Staff
