Vision Statement

Our Vision as of September 2014:

Over the course of the next five years, the administration, faculty, parents and student body at the Middle School for Art and Philosophy will continue to develop and grow as a community of committed lifelong learners.

We recognize that each member of our school community is an individual and as such brings with them strengths, weaknesses and limitations.  As a result, we strive to engage each member of the school community by meeting their individual needs to support them in demonstrating progress towards their full potential.

Our faculty demonstrates best practices by engaging students in ways they learn best:  through collaboration, communication and a commitment to consistency.

By consistently articulating high expectations in instruction, curriculum development, and school-wide policies, we will prepare our students to become 21st century citizens who work together towards the common goals of leadership, independence, cooperation, and citizenship.  We aim to help students become college and career ready by enacting a well-rounded discipline of study that conceptually encourages deep thought and emphasizes learning through inquiry, accountability, and real world connections.

At MSAP we strive to…

·      apply what we learn to the present and in our future;

·      build a community of collaboration, respect and support;

·      model appropriate behavior that reflects positively on ourselves, our families and our school community.

We strive to be the best we can be at our school MSAP!
